Scott Knoche Physical Therapist

Scott has been a state licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Missouri since 1987. He graduated with honors in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Health Professions. During his career, Scott has treated thousands of patients. Scott treats people of all ages and conditions. He works frequently with patients with back pain and orthopedic joint problems. He often sees professional athletes, active children and seniors. He also works with industrial clients and children with developmental delay. Scott has also spent a significant amount of time helping patients with orthopedic bracing and orthotic fitting for the foot and ankle.

In 1990 Scott earned the Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). In 1996 Scott studied in Minnesota for several months and earned the Diploma (Dip.) in MDT of the spine from the McKenzie Institute International. Scott has been invited to make presentations about the spine and extremities to health care professionals. This includes being an Adjunct Professor with the University of Kansas School of Physical Therapy. Scott is often asked to talk about injury management issues on local radio shows. Scott has participated in several research studies for the treatment of the spine through The University of Texas-El Paso and The State University of New York in Syracuse.

Scott has been very active in treating spine, orthopedic, sports and work related injuries. He also has received his Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is involved in helping his clients restore the maximum function with strength, flexibility, speed and coordination for their sport, job or hobby. Most professional and intercollegiate athletic teams have a Strength and Conditioning Coach on staff to develop fitness programs for athletes that are sport and position specific. Many successful sports programs will credit the strength and conditioning strategy for prevention of injury and higher performance.
